Bioworldmerch.com is a B2B retail Web Portal based in Texas, USA. They intended to have a web portal through which they can showcase their products, which gets changed with time. They were also looking for web portal design solutions that can make the further maintenance easy for their IT department. The web portal design solution also demanded a user management console and user authentication process for which a part time email call center was to be run by E2 Solutions, a point of web portal design India. Additionally, this web portal design also features a retail login section through which the users can search products, use shopping cart and place their orders online.

The product inventory was to be managed by a mid level inventory ERP platform MAS 500. So integration with the software with the web portal was also required to enable advanced searches on updated product line. They desired for a community section as well, where the members can participate in contest, opinion poll etc.

Solution Offered

An online B2B retail web portal was developed that allowed users to register to access the content and browse through the product line. The users provided with a user account once authorizing their identity on the web portal. The web portal admin then activate the authorized user from their user activation panel. An activated user can log in, browse product line, use shopping cart and place orders through the private area of web portal.

A dynamic product showcase within the web portal was developed in flash. The admin would have been given the options to add, delete, modify images, from their control panel and the changes are reflected on the flash product showcase run time.

A dynamic menu control was given to the admin, through which they can add, delete, modify, or reorder an existing sub menu. A content management system (CMS) was enabled so that their IT department can modify any content of any given page run time. The home page theme image was made dynamic through java script.

For Community section, online contest, opinion polls was set up and the admin was given a control through which they can update the questions and answer options and see the responses on their control panel, so that they can use the data further.
